Stofomslag beschadigd, boek in goede staat. Voorin kaart, achterin illustraties van het schip. Verder met illustraties naar foto's. De Yankee zeilt voor de zesde keer rond de wereld en doet daarbij exotische plaatsen als Pitcairn, Samoa, Nieuw Guinea, Bangkok, Singapore, Bali en Zuid-Afrika aan.
Het schip de Yankee was van oorsprong een Nederlands schip: 'In 1926 when Loodschooner 4 was offered for sale at auction by the Dutch government she attracted the attention of Captain Claude Monson of Ipswich, Englend. Buying at Dutch auctions is a ticklish business. The bidder must settle in his own mind the amount he will pay, go to the sleepy office of an official in the little town of Brielle, write his name and the amount of his bid on a piece of paper and stick it in a certain box on a certain morning. After that there is no chance to raise the bid (tekst uit een eerder boek over hetzelfde schip)'. Het schip werd vervolgens de Texel, waarna de volgende eigenaar, waarover dit boek gaat, de naam veranderde in de Yankee. Referentienummer 6886.
